Signal Bleed - Dream Gmae
Hey everyone, welcome to the first devlog for this project! I’m calling it Signal Bleed for now, but honestly, the name might change as things progress—just like the game itself. This is my first real project in Godot, so bear with me as I learn, experiment, and (probably) break a lot of things along the way.
The concept is simple but (hopefully) terrifying: you’re sent to repair radio towers in creepy, desolate places. But it’s not just the loneliness that’ll get to you—it’s what’s lurking out there. A key mechanic I’m working on is prayer. You’ll need to pray to keep your sanity and avoid seeing... things. But every moment spent praying leaves you vulnerable, so balancing faith and survival will be critical.
Right now, I’m focusing on the basics:
- Getting more experienced with Godot.
- Prototyping core mechanics like movement, repairing, and praying.
- Experimenting with the vibe—expect eerie, atmospheric environments and a heavy dose of dread.
This is still very early in development, so everything is subject to change. But I’m excited to share updates as I go, from mechanics to gameplay clips to (eventually) playable builds. If you’re into survival horror with a touch of religious unease, stick around—I think this could be something special.
